How tenders are matched to you

Bindy scrapes ~17 Australian portals (federal, state, every major council aggregator) every morning. Every tender is scored against your profile and only the strong fits land in your inbox.

  • Which sources does Bindy cover?

    AusTender (federal), each state portal (NSW buy.nsw, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, ACT, NT), VendorPanel + TenderLink + eTenderBox + eProcure (covering 100+ local councils), plus direct council websites. Live status: bindy.au/status.
  • How does the Match Rate work?

    We score every tender 0–100 against your profile across seven factors: state, trade alignment, certifications held, insurance cover, contract size band, deadline runway, and profile completeness. Anything below your min match rate (default 70%) is filtered out of alerts. Tighten or loosen the threshold in Settings → Notifications.
  • I'm not seeing tenders I expected. Why?

    Three usual causes: (1) your profile is too narrow — add more trades, regions, or service interests; (2) the source portal is slow that day (check /status); (3) the tender genuinely doesn't exist yet — most portals publish in the morning AEST. Email hello@bindy.au with the missing tender's URL and we'll investigate.
  • Can I add a tender Bindy missed?

    Yes — drop the docs into Upload Tender and we'll classify it the same way as a scraped one. Manual uploads are private to your account.

How AI bid writing works

Bindy reads the tender documents, asks you a 6-step questionnaire about your business, and drafts a complete tender response — cover letter, all sections, compliance matrix, and pricing — in 60-180 seconds.

  • Where does Bindy get my information from?

    From your profile. The more complete it is — ABN, services, qualifications, insurances, key personnel, notable projects, capability statement — the higher quality the draft. We never invent claims (e.g. we won't fabricate certifications you don't hold). Your profile is yours; export or delete it anytime under Settings → Your data.
  • Can I edit the draft?

    Yes — every section has an Edit button for inline rewrites, plus a Regenerate button that re-runs the AI with optional extra guidance. Your edits flow through to the PDF, Word, and email exports.
  • Does Bindy attach pricing?

    Yes — there's a Pricing tab in the bid editor with two modes: lump sum or schedule of rates. The schedule of rates pre-fills from your profile's rate card so you can lay out the line items once and re-use them across bids.
  • Will the AI submit the tender for me?

    No. We export the response in the format the portal asks for (PDF or Word) and link you to the submission page. You always do the final submit yourself — that's a deliberate human-in-the-loop decision.

Pricing & cancellation

Three tiers: Free (read-only feed), Pro (AI bid writing + pipeline + analyse), Max (priority + higher quotas). All paid plans bill in AUD via Stripe with 14-day trial.

  • How do I cancel?

    Open /billing and click Manage in Stripe → Cancel subscription. Cancellation is effective at the end of your current paid period — no pro-rata refund, no further charges. You keep service until the period ends.
  • What happens if my card fails?

    Stripe retries automatically. You'll see an in-app banner and get email reminders at day 1, 4, and 7. After 7 days of unresolved failed payment your account moves to read-only (existing tenders + bids stay accessible) until billing is updated.
  • Is GST included?

    Yes — Stripe automatically applies AU GST to invoices for customers in Australia. Your ABN appears on the invoice if entered at checkout, so you can claim the GST credit.
  • Can I pay annually?

    Not yet — currently monthly only. Email hello@bindy.au if you'd like an annual quote.

Privacy & your data

We're an AU-based business, AU customers, AU data hosting. Australian Privacy Principles (APPs 1-13) apply.

  • Where is my data stored?

    Supabase (Sydney region where available — Australian data sovereignty). Full subprocessor list with each vendor's location is at /subprocessors.
  • Can I export everything you hold on me?

    Yes. Open Settings → Your data → Download my data. Returns a JSON dump of your profile, all tenders you're tracking, AI bid drafts, chat history, and every account activity event. Right-to-access under APP 12.
  • How do I delete my account?

    Same place — Settings → Your data → Delete my account. Closes your account immediately, cancels Stripe, stops every email. All personal data is permanently removed from the database after 30 days (matching the retention window in our privacy policy). Stripe billing records are retained per ATO requirements.
  • Do you sell my data?

    No.
